Rainwhisker cleared his throat before raising his voice. "RavineClan, this journey has brought much change." He announced. "Tomorrow, we will set out into our new territory. I will form a patrol to look for the proper place for our clan. But, for the remainder of today, we shall rest. All cats who are willing to hunt please tell me so. I don't want to lose track of any cats." The leader's eyes rested on each RavineClanner's face. He picked a few warriors out of the group.
"Morninglight, Phantomsun and Hawkshadow." He called out the names, looking at each cat respectively. "I want you three to go hunting. Don't stray too far from here." He nodded, signaling for the hunting patrol to leave. Willowpaw laid the moss down, pleased with himself for no apparent reason. "Treekit, Rootkit, Mosskit!" He called to his siblings. He hoped they weren't too far off.

Hawkshadow's eyes lit up at the chance to do something other than sit here. Not only did he get to go out hunting, he got to go with Phantomsun. A grin came to his features as he looked around for the she-cat and Morninglight, waiting for them to leave the rest of the cats so they could go hunt. He surveyed the hunting territory, knowing that they would have to be careful, not only for the other clans out hunting, but for any unknown creatures that might be hidden in the shadows. Hawkshadows bright eyes darkened a little at the thought, if there was anything, in there, they would need to be extremely quiet. There was only going to be three of them, not enough to defend against anything substantial. Turning away from the trees, Hawkshadow shrugged and twiched his ears. They would cross that bridge when they came to it. He sat down, curling his tail around his paws and waited for the others to emerge from the rest of the clan.[/sup]

A slender golden warrior brushed her way past the growth of plants and leafy bushes of their new territory, careful not to run her pelt against any sharp brances, and delicately stepping over obstacles. Morninglight's green eyes caught sight of Hawkshadow, clearly waiting for the hunting patrol to begin. In truth, she was overjoyed for this chance to stretch her legs, but worried that she would be an akward third wheel with Hawkshadow and Phantomsun. Two's a company and three's a crowd. Still, she couldn't pass up an opportunity to hunt, especially since Rainwhisker picked her to go out. She mewed a greeting to Hawkshadow as she sat beside him, her ears twitching and waiting for Phantomsun's pawsteps.

"They're over with Darkrain," Silverhawk said as he came up behind Willowpaw. His slender tail flicked over towards where the RavineClan queens had settled with kits from all four clans gathered around. "At least Treekit is, which means the other two aren't far, I'm sure." He purred a small laugh. "Let's leave the moss here for now; they'll find it soon."
The silver tom looked away for a moment, his amber eyes scanning for another cat to join them. "I want to go look for herbs. If cats are going to go patrolling tomorrow, they're going to need strength." He turned back towards the smaller tom. "Have you ever made the combination used when leaders visit--visited--the Moonstone?" he corrected himself quickly, a strange look flashing briefly accross his face before vanishing.

Willowpaw flinched slightly when he heard Silverhawk's voice. He looked over to Darkrain, nodding when he saw Treekit. He kept his eyes on the other queens a kits, silently looking for Rootkit and Mosskit. He blinked and faced Silverhawk.
"I guess they should just have time to relax for now." He replied. "I want to look for herbs too."
Just then, something flashed. He couldn't see what was in front of him. He blinked a few times before a familiar smell came over him. He could easily identify where he was. It was a path of sorts. He felt something brush against him. A brown tabby pelt. Soft blue eyes told him to pay attention. Willowpaw felt his head jerk up.
Silverhawk's face, and an unfamiliar territory. He hoped Silverhawk didn't say anything while he spaced out. It'd seem terribly rude if the young tom was suddenly not listening to a word the other tom was saying.
"No, I haven't." He breathed out the words, suddenly remembering what he had been asked. It was a memory, he concluded. And nothing more.

Phantomsun had loped easily into the ring of cats, her eyes sparkling interest and her tail swishing behind her. Upon Rainwhisker's orders, her heart skipped a beat. Hawkshadow...the conflicted emotions rose within her once again, but she shoved them aside, and was glad that Morninglight would be coming with them. She said no word to anyone, but padded over to where Morninglight and Hawkshadow were, greeting each of them with a tap of the tail to their shoulder. "Shall we go?" She asked politely, looking first at Hawkshadow, but quickly shifting her gaze to Morninglight. She was glad that she would be able to get to know the she-cat. And besides, if anyone thought that her personal life would interfere with her duty to the Clan, then they were dead wrong. Dead wrong.
Gryffinwing had listened attentively to Rainwhisker, and sighed. She was sad not to be chosen for the patrol, and yet happy at the same time. She sat down wearily, her midnight blue eyes sparkling, no matter how tired her body was. She looked for a secluded corner to lie down in, and discovered one. She curled up into a little ball, and closed her eyes.
Everything was cold...so cold...where was Fort? Fort!? She heard screaming, screaming, and she didn't know who it was...who was it? Where in StarClan was Fort? Had...no, no, no! Had River gotten to him? It couldn't- no...
The dream continued, and Gryffinwing couldn't stop it. She couldn't. Her whole body was trembling now, and she was whimpering softly. The nightmare was haunting her, hurting her, killing her, and all she wanted was Brownspot...

Morninglight nodded, getting to her feet and brushing the dust off her golden coat. "I'm ready whenever you two are," she answered, her stomach rumbling slightly. "I'm sure the rest of the clan is just as hungry as I am," she commented with a cheerful purr. "Let's hope the prey are out today," she added, glancing over the horizon and scanning the area. Her emerald eyes moved back to Hawkshadow and Phantomsun. They seemed happy enough to have her there and it put her more at ease and optimistic about the day.
Beepaw sat dejectedly back at camp, as he watched his sister and the others about to leave on a hunting trip. He might even be a warrior now, had it not been for the journey. Moping for one more moment, he straightened himself up and looked around camp with curious hazel eyes, trying to find something to do with his spare time. Spying his mentor, he bounded over to Rainwhisker. "What do you want me to do?" he asked, wanting desperately to be put to a task.

Rainwhisker looked down at Beepaw, his apprentice. He took a moment to think of what he could do. His tail twitched as he tried to come up with something.
"Get some water for the queens and kits." He instructed. "Just make a moss ball and soak it in a nearby stream. Don't wander of too far."

Hawkshadow smiled in return to Morninglight's greeting, and waved his tail back and forth in anticipation for the hunt. He was eager to leave the camp for a little while, if only to catch some quiet time away from the large group as they sat out in the open. It was going to be nice to get some warm fresh-kill between his claws again. It had been a long time since he'd been hunting, more suited for guard duty with his large, bulky figure. As Phantomsun started over to the group, Hawkshadow couldn't help but feel that she was acting a bit...strange. "Yeah, let's head out." He threw a questioning glance at Morninglight, sure that she was ready to go as well. Hawkshadow got to his paws, his face the picture of dejected sadness, but he kept his features away from Phantomsun. He had at least expected her to be a little excited, and he was utterly confused at her actions toward him. Had he done something wrong? He couldn't think of anything that he had done in the last few days that would have made her angry. Then again...you never knew when it came to she-cats. Hawkshadow let the frown fall from his face and looked mostly normal, but there was a hint of sadness that he couldn't get to leave the depths of his eyes. Turning back to the pair of she-cats, he started forward, then stopped, letting Phantomsun lead the way. She was the deputy now, and he didn't want to make her think that he wasn't going to acknowlege that.[/sup]

Silverhawk opened his mouth to speak again, but paused, catching an odd look on Willowpaw's face before it quickly vanished. He frowned, but didn't question him for the time being. He was only a few moons older than Willowpaw, but he felt the younger tom would have to trust him and open up on his own, not by prodding. So the silver tom turned away, flicking his tail for the other tom to follow. As he was just slipping away from the clan's group, he paused again, though.
"Oh, we should probably tell Rainwhisker... Could you?" he asked, glancing back at the brown tabby. "I'll go ask Gryffinwing if she'd like to join us. We probably shouldn't go off alone without a third cat with us, anyways."
Without waiting for a reply, he trotted lightly over to the queen's tightly-curled form. When he saw her sleeping, Silverhawk started to turn away, but hesitated. "Gryffinwing?" he called softly, stepping close to her and gently touching his pink nose to her ear. Worry clouded his amber eyes.

"Fort...don't leave me, Fort! You can't leave like Fang did! We can run away, before they take you..c'mon, let's go..." It was cold, and her brother was being stubborn. Stubborn out of fear. He said it was his destiny- she said that destiny relied on themselves to change it...
Gryffinwing was snapped abruptyly out of her dream when something cold touched her ear. With a gasp, she jerked upward, eyes wide with fright. She looked up, when relief visibly crossed her face at the sight of Silverhawk. She nuzzled her brother briefly before standing and stretching her limbs, letting the warmth of day renew her body and vigor. The glazed look from the nightmare disappeared as her ears twitched, and she meowed,
"Hi, Silverhawk. Thanks for waking me." Her voice was sincere with gratitude, and she was not embarrassed or afraid of Silverhawk's reaction. He was her brother. At least, in her heart he was. It didn't matter that they were of different blood.
"What's up?" She then asked, her tail twitching behind her, the dream left in a dark cave of her mind, one that she dared not explore.
Phantomsun jogged forward, her tail low, and her ears pricked forward. Her sun-yellow eyes radiated a determination and life that hadn't been there in their old home of RavineClan. Here, she was determined to be alive. Here, she had a purpose. She had to help her Clan move in, and create a home. Before placing her front paw down, she hesitated, letting it dangle in the air. She swerved to the left, stalking quietly into the forest, and pounced on a plump mouse. With the impact of her body and the force of her claws, it died instantly. She buried it, and returned to Hawkshadow and Morninglight, her paws treading lightly over the ground, her tail raised a little higher than before. She gave one of her winning smiles to Morninglight and Hawkshadow, before returning onto the hunt, her ears alert and ready for anything to come..

The prey was seemingly abundant today and Morninglight was in an excellent mood. Encouraged by Phantomsun's sucess, she quickly followed suit, pressing her stomach low to the ground and crawling into the folige, watching with quick emerald eyes in hopes to catch something. A sharp rustle in the bush made her ears perk up suddenly and the golden warrior made her move, streaking towards the noise and discovered it was a medium sized thrush. She killed it quickly with a swipe of her paw and taking it in her mouth, she brought it over closer to where they were originally standing. Burying it quickly, she scanned the area for another. Hopefully this would be a sucessful hunt and they would have alot to bring back to camp. Hawkshadow and Phantomsun seemed experienced and no doubt Phantomsun would want a sucessful hunt as the deputy. Morninglight would do her best to accomplish that.

"Yeah.." Willowpaw said, just barely above a whisper as Silverhawk walked away. He blinked and shook his head, forcing himself back to reality. For a while he felt as if he had just stood up to fast, as if he couldn't see what was in front of him. Taking a deep breath he trotted over to Rainwhisker.
"Rainwhisker," He addressed the RavineClan leader, dipping his head. "Silverhawk and I want to go looking for herbs. Silverhawk's getting Gryffinwing to come with us."
Rainwhisker looked down at Willowpaw, his head still above the apprentice's.
"Alright." He replied with a slight nod. "Don't get too far and don't be gone for too long."
Willowpaw excused himself with another dip of his head. He padded over to Silverhawk, not wanting to seem too excited to be one of the first cats to take a look at the new territory.
"Rainwhisker's fine with it." Willowpaw reported. "Are you two ready to go?"

Silverhawk stared worriedly down at Gryffinwing before speaking. "I was going to ask you if you wanted to come collect herbs with Willowpaw and I, but you look tired, perhaps you should sleep instead..."
His worry for her blocked out his urgency for herbs and even his concerns on Willowpaw, but only for a moment. They came rushing back quickly, and he took a small step backwards. "I'll tell you what, I'll find Brownspot and he can keep you company." The silver tom glanced sideways back at Willowpaw. "I need to speak to Willowpaw anyways."
He leaned down and gave her ear a soft lick. "Perhaps the two of you can go hunting or something." Then he turned and nodded softly to his young friend and new clanmate, before trotting a few steps and letting his gaze wander for his broad-shouldered brother.

Gryffinwing breathed an inward sigh of relief. Silverhawk knew her all too well...she was willing to go out with them, if they needed her, but the nightmares had unsettled her, as they always did. Yet these ones seemed more vivid than usual, probably because she was more exhausted.
Before he left, Gryffinwing licked Silverhawk on the side of his cheek, thanking him silently, her eyes glimmering a soft gratitude. She sat down, letting the bright sights of the day overwhelm her, before she closed her eyes, trying to block out the visions that the nightmare had brought. Tucking her paws closer towards her body, Gryffinwing's sleek tail inched forward to wrap around them, trying to keep them warm.
The day was so warm...why was she so cold? She didn't know. She would be happy when Brownspot was here. She felt so foolish sometimes, and so needy. But it hurt...those dreams, they hurt! And scared her. More than she let anyone know. Sometimes she wondered if Brownspot was annoyed with her, for having these dreams, and seeking his comfort and company. She never knew. She wasn't quite bold enough to ask.
