NPCs

[D a R K - R a H]

Sky made a very relevant point and I've decided to run with it. We're going to have a set of NPCs (non-player characters) to fill up some of the holes in the clans.

For those of you who don't really know what NPCs are: they are characters that are simply used as extras, who pretty much all blend into the background. They can be used to fill up patrols, mentor apprentices when there aren't enough warriors, be the apprentice of an optional deputy, even be deputy until a PC (player character) is ready to take the position.

Now, Skye and I have already thought up a list of them. We may add more and we may take more off later. We tried to give them histories or connections that would make them fit in with their clan, not stand out like a sore thumb. I will personally add them to the Rosters.

But, before you see them, there are some rules that must be laid down.
1. NPCs are only to be directly roleplayed by the ranking members of the NPC's clan (ie, Wazo and Skye can roleplay the TealClan NPCs). Direct roleplaying would be when the roleplayer has the NPC speak or act in their post of another cat. No one may roleplay NPCs as their characters.
2. All other members may indirectly roleplay the NPCs of their clan. Indirect roleplaying is when you make references to the NPC's actions or words. They might have their own character reflect on a vague discussion with the NPC, but not relate the exact words of him or her.
3. If you are indirectly roleplaying an NPC, assume that s/he follows the warrior code to death. Never make an NPC break rules unless given permission. Ranking members of the NPC's clan may do so, but no others. Also, keep the character true to their personality. Don't have a shy cat go yelling at someone.
4. Raven and I (Dark) are allowed to roleplay any and all NPCs (seeing as we're the admins).
Here is something important!
5. If you become attached to an NPC and want to make him/her your actual character, contact either Dark or Raven. Usually, we'll give you permission, and you'll simply have to post a bio for him/her.

And now, for the characters themselves!

TEALCLAN

Holloweye- long-furred she-cat with dark gray fur and sharp amber eyes. Prickly and defensive, she has no obvious bond with most of her clan. Born as Cindernose's niece, she spent time in the medicine den as punishment and slowly learned to use herbs fairly well. While she doesn't uphold the StarClan aspect of her job very well, she serves her clan with a sense of duty. Blind in one eye.
Ashdust- beautiful gray she-cat with light green eyes. Easily as outspoken as her mother Holloweye, she is very passionate and, usually, very friendly. She likes to be friends with all of her clanmates. Deep down, she feels guilt for leaving BrookClan behind, even though most of her clanmates have long forgotten it. (Aprox. 25 moons)
Skypaw- Understanding and patient, he has long learned to accept the death of both his parents. Friendly with everyone he knows, he looks up and adores Crowflight, a close friend of His mothers. His parents were Robinwing and Lightpool. (a small calico tom with bright blue-green eyes)
Rosepaw- slender calico she-cat with white paws and silver eyes, she's definitely her father's daughter. Quirky and sharp, she's easy to teach but hard to love. She's ambitous and proud, the complete opposite of her brother, and doesn't understand why their parents had to die. She can also be bitter and angry, but if often warm and laughing, preferring to live in the moment rather than the past. She thinks the way that her brother loses himself in his thoughts isSilly and would rather be out hunting than anything. She doesn't like Crowflight, despises him actually, for breaking up her parents the way he did.
Emberpaw- Lovely tortoiseshell she-cat. The daughter of Flamescar and Littleshadow, she grew up without any parents. Still, she's very friendly and outgoing. She can't stand to stay sad or upset. She enjoys playing, hunting, and playing with kits. When she becomes a warrior, she wants to quickly find a mate and become a mother.


RAVINECLAN

Flametwist- a muscular flame-licked tabby tom with shocking golden eyes. Sharp-tongued and stern, he's been through a lot and doesn't take well to outsiders. He has a soft spot for Phantomstar, though refuses to show it, and has successfully trained two apprentice who are now full-fledged warriors (Swifteyes and Goldenwing). The last thing on this deputy's mind would be betraying his clan and despite his prickly nature, has quite the gentle heart. He loves easily, but he paricularly hates the Druids and Tallstone, his cousin.
Patchedpool & Palestep- a black-white tom with amber eyes and ginger streaks // a creamy-white she-cat with black paws and ginger streaks. Originally a pair of triplets, they lost their sister - Sunpaw - against a battle with BrookClan many moons back. Being Northwind's neices and nephews, they share her same breathtaking beauty. They feel bad for Tallstone and hate their aunt for treating him as she does. They're usually together in everything they do, whether it be hunting or fighting. evertheless, they make a fearsome combo. Patchedpool does not have interests in she-cats, rather toms, but this doesn't seem to bother his sister.The clan does not know this, however. Patchedpool is a carefree, though somewhat confused, tom who isn't sure what he wants while as Palestep, despite her name, is very sharp and forceful, not The clan does not know this, however. Patchedpool is quiet and holds his tongue often, especially when prompted. Despite his silence, he's a very kind tom with a big heart and a surpsingly gruesome opponent in battle.

Druids

Sage- Very frail tabby tom. A Praiser for many moons, Sage never seems to talk much. The truth is, he can't talk. He makes his thoughts slowly known by communicating with the other Praisers using a long-established mode of communication. Generally, he's a very peaceful, gentle tom. Lost his voice after a battle with a rogue Ranger.
Rift- Thin tabby tom. The brother of Wind, he was chosen by his father (a Communer) to become a Communer himself. He got all of the attention over his brother and was never comfortable with it. He's generally very kind and quite, slightly more outgoing than his brother.
Trash- a brown tabby tom with large black paws and shocking green eyes. Abondoned by his mother at birth, he was soon taken under the Druid's care. He's had a hard life, but with his forgiving nature and ever-present grins, he's managed to get into the heart of many. He's wicked smart with a brain that rivals even the best of leaders. The thing that shocked the Druids the most, other than his rainbow vocabulary (of course), is his firm belief in the Communer's ways. He's creative and smart, but also terribly stubborn. And frustrating. However unlike the druids he is, no one can help but love him. (Aprox. 24 moons)
Smoke- a mottled smoked tom with stormy-blue eyes and gray whiskers. He was ten moons, if not more, older than this mate when she died and much of his fellows hates him because of it. Despite how he acts around his son, silent and cold, he loves his son and is awfully protective of him. He would do anything to save Quickwave, even at the cost of his own life.
Quickwave- a dark blue-gray tabby with pale teal eyes and a torn ear. The young listener is shy and quiet, barely speaking like his father. His mother, Quietdusk, wasn't much better and birthed him when she was a listener. His father, much older, is shaken by her death and Quickwave always feels small around him, around everyone.Quickwave also has a soft spot for Rust, but is too shy to say anything. Because of his waryness of strangers and his mentor, he's still a listener at sixteen moons.
Rust- Vivid ginger she-cat with amber eyes. Quiet with everyone who isn't her twin brother, she relies very heavily on him. She almost never talks to anyone but Copper.
Copper-Vivid ginger tom with amber eyes. Slightly more outgoing than his sister, he still prefers to talk to her and her alone. He only several times a day says things to anyone else, and even then, it's only a few sentances. Aprox. 21 moons.

CHERRYCLAN

Rabbitfur- Small, light gray she-cat with gray on her muzzle. Hazefur's niece, she's admired by much of her clan for her gently bravery. Generally easy-going, she is only strict when someone's life might be in danger. Only mentored one apprentice before.
Earthshadow- light brown tom with pale green eyes and white ears. For one thing, he doesn't look much like either of his parents, but the traits are still there.Like his name suggests, he's a down-to-earth kind of cat and is easy to love. If he has a family, he's sure to treat them well and play with his kits often. He absolutely hates those who don't. His personality is easy and loving, though - like his father - he's stubborn too. His half-brother confuses him and he prefers to stay away from Birchpaw most of the time. And Shadepaw scares him, simple as that. His father died before he got to really know him, but Earthshadow doesn't dwell on that fact.His only sibling, Whitedove, moved to TealClan to be with her love and he hasn't heard from her since. It pains him, knowing how close they used to be.
Birchpaw-Handsome silver tabby tom. Son of Rabbitfur, he takes after his deceased father in both pelt and personality. Mostly quiet, but eager to prove himself, he tries to be brave. Doesn't interact with his clanmates much. He dislikes Brackenwing's three kits for their strange and unusual ways. He prefers everything to be "normal".
Shadepaw- Spitting image of her mother Rabbitfur, Shadepaw is harsh but outspoken. She's bitter about her father's death, for she was very close to him, and holds it against the rest of her family and clan. Underneath her pain, though, she's generally friendly and easy to get along with.

BROOKCLAN

Pineleaf- Light gray tabby tom, he was born to BrookClan. He had been too young to fully understand Fernstar's betrayal, so only harbors a hatred towards the other clans. To his clan, he is very friendly and open, sometimes even quite humorous. Still, he feels somewhat lonely and envies his clanmates who actually have families.
Rockpaw- brown tabby tom with a white chest, large white-tipped ears and big white paws. (that he's rather selfconcious of) Around his friends, who are all toms, he's outgoing and cheerful, blue eyes always radiating warmly. He's rather scared of his father, Addertail, though. Around she-cats, he's stuttery and confused, always tripping over words and awfully selfconcious of himself. (why are his paws so big?!) He has a huge crush on Fernpaw and always trips when he Sees her, along with other acts he'd rather not remember. He's silly and jubilant, but also ambitious enough to gain respect from his peers and father.
Addertail- Very pale brown tabby tom with dark green eyes. He is very much a perfectionist. He forces himself and his son to be the best the possibly can be. He never gives praise to anyone, certainly not his son. He dislikes anything that he deems "a waste of time" (including playing and socializing). Secretly, he dislikes Swiftclaw, but would never vocalize that.
