^{Hawkshadow's eyes widened a tiny bit at the suprise. He could barely contain his joy when he heard Phantomsun call out his name, and he stopped himself from nodding too quickly. He finished his stretch and flicked his tail and ears a few times, padding over to Phantomsun as she smiled at him. A shiver ran over his pelt, all through his body as her scent washed over him. His eyes flashed mischeviously, determined to make the most of this precious time he had alone with Phantomsun, determined to show her just how much he loved her. Of course, he had trouble saying it aloud, but he hoped more than anything that she would know it anyways. He greeted her with a gentle touch to the neck with his nose and a small dip of his head to indicate respect for her rank. "You think you'll be able to keep up?" Hawkshadow's laughter never left his mouth, merely danced in the carmel gaze that pierced Phantomsun's. He took a few steps forward toward the exit of the camp, looking over his shoulder and grinning at his friend. "Coming?"}

Phantomsun's mirth was evident, though her deep affection and love was not. She smiled, batting at him playfully with a slender silver paw, before darting quickly out of the camp, tail streaming along behind her.

Paws making nary a noise along the ground, Phantomsun bounded through the territory, sun-bright eyes shining happily. Even if she was on a patrol..she could have a little fun, right? A mouse scent wafted towards her on the wind, and she quickly killed it, before moving on.

She slowed, waiting for Hawkshadow, her tail-tip twitching back and forth happily.

^{Hawkshadow's stomach twinged a little when Phantomsun smiled. She hadn't smiled at him in a while, it was something. He hated that she was Deputy now. At least, he was happy that she got the position, she certainly deserved it, but he could never see her anymore. She batted at him with a paw and streaked out of the camp ahead of him. Hawkshadow grinned and headed in the same direction, following her scent trail through the forest and doing his best to stay quiet. His bulk made him one of the 'not-so-good' hunters in the clan, he simply couldn't help it. But he followed Phantomsun and kept his mouth open for scents of prey. Before he knew it, he had reached her, and she stood over her first piece of fresh-kill. Hawkshadow rolled his eyes, "Show off." He laughed again and scanned the area for any more prey, excited to just be spending time with Phantomsun.}[/sup]

[Raven-chan]

Phantomsun pranced in a mocking-indignation, her sun-bright eyes twinkling. Crouching down, her rear end high in the air, she waggled it, scratching her claws in the dirt.

She pounced onto Hawkshadow and rolled off of him, landing close to her friend. Very close. Suddenly, she found herself unable to breathe. His smell was so powerful, so marvelous...

She tentatively stretched her head forward and pressed her nose into the soft fur of his neck, purring softly. Finally, unable to stand it anymore, she pulled herself up next to him, close, entertwining her tail with his. Softly, she nuzzled his cheek and meowed,

"I've missed you," in a husky and tender voice, her spine tingling with the sensation that his body against hers created.

<sup>Hawkshadow smiled at Phantomsun's dancing and waggling of her rear. It was a rare occasion that he got to see her act like this anymore, so he fully enjoyed himself as he sat back and watched.

His eyes grew wide when she pounced on him, and the moment she was off him, he turned around so that he could pounce back. She would see that she couldn't just pounce on him and get away with it! His smile faded though when she pressed her nose into his neck, and he closed his eyes tight. He could hardly stand it when she pressed herself next to him and curled her tail with his. Hawkshadow took in a deep breath and let the air out slowly. It had been so long since they were together like this, he was almost beginning to worry they would never be this close again.

"I've missed you,"</sup>[/i]

Hawkshadow purred deeply and smiled, "I've missed you more." He pressed his nose into her muzzle, smiling and purring even more. [/color][/sup]

[Raven-chan]

Phantomsun's heart was pounding heavily in her chest as she purred, enjoying Hawkshadow's closeness, her eyes closed in happiness.

The words he said echoed within her, stirred her very being. She...she loved him. She loved him more than life itself, but had no way of telling him. Her whole heart wanted to tell him, but for the life of her she couldn't figure out how! Opening her eyes and pulling slightly away, Phantomsun looked at Hawkshadow, the love she had for him deep in her eyes, begging for him to understand.

"Hawkshadow, I...I..." She tried, but was too full of love and life to say anything more. She buried her face into his shoulder, nuzzling hard, hoping that he would understand...

<sup>Hawkshadow's eyes fell a little bit when Phantomsun stopped saying what she started to voice. He wished she would just say it. He had always believed what his mother had always told him as a kit. If you love someone, say it. Otherwise the opportunity just passes you by. His bouncing mood had gone, replaced by a solemn, deep affection for the cat that was so close to him. There were very few times that Hawkshadow stopped screwing around, this was definitely one of those times. His bright gold eyes shone with the love he felt for Phantomsun, and he smiled a little.

Hawkshadow pressed his forehead to Phantomsun's, "I love you." He whispered in her ear, just softly enough so that she would hear it. He had never said the words aloud before, but he figured he needed to. He wanted her to know, even if she didn't feel the same way. It didn't really matter at this point. His purr lowered to a soft rumble in the middle of his chest, an he closed his eyes again, drinking in her scent.</sup>[/sup]

Phantomsun's heart leapt in her chest. She burrowed herself tighter into Hawkshadow, her whole body tingling with the sensation that he created within her. Purring deeply, thoughts raced through her mind, but not as much as colors. A warm, rich red, full of love and passion. A comforting shade of purple, the way she felt protected around him.

Then, he said it. Those three words that she had been positively dying to say, and to hear.

Her breathing quickened in an excitened fashion, and she meowed breathlessly, "I love you too! I've been dying to say it but I just didn't know how! Oh, Hawkshadow, I love you so much and I want to be with you and sleep in the same nest and call you my mate and-"

Gasping, she just realized what she said and blushed slightly, looking at Hawkshadow with bright sun-yellow eyes, and then burying her face into his shoulder, breathing in his intense and gorgeous smell.

<sup>As Phantomsun pressed into him, Hawkshadow could barely help but wonder how he could have ever thought she didn't feel the same way about him. During the move, it had been hard, watching her from afar and not really getting to spend any time with her. It was easy to let his mind stray from what he knew was true. He loved her, and he had always felt that she loved him too, she just couldn't say it. So he did it for her.

"I love you too! I've been dying to say it but I just didn't know how! Oh, Hawkshadow, I love you so much and I want to be with you and sleep in the same nest and call you my mate and-"</sup>[/i]

Hawkshadow's eyes were wide with suprise at her excitement. He had no idea she would act so enthusiastically. He knew about her past, and who she had been waiting for, and he hadn't really expected her to immediately return the feelings. But it gave him such joy that he could feel his heart racing in his chest, and making his ears pound with the steady rhythms of his pulse. His shocked expression changed to one of complete and utter adoration for Phantomsun as she buried her head in his shoulder.

There really wasn't anything left to say, and Hawkshadow wasn't the best with words, especially when it came to expressing his feelings. He sheathed and unsheathed his claws into the dirt below the tender pads of his paws in pleasure as Phantomsun purred and surged his own happiness. Hawkshadow let out a small chuckle at her blush. "Well at least you don't lack any enthusiasm." He licked the side of her muzzle, grinning and waving his tail back and forth.[/color][/sup]

Phantomsun's heart was bursting with joy, positively bursting. She giggled at his statement and smiled cheekily up at him, her sun-yellow eyes glimmering.

"When have I ever lacked enthusiasm?" She asked impishly, batting a paw at him lightly before turning and sprinting away into the forest, letting her pleasure take over in the freedom of the run, in the freedom of wind and the love that surrounded and enveloped her.

Hawkshadow shrugged and smiled, it was true. Phantomsun was one of those cats that was always up and about, and she was always up for anything. He was about to bound after her, but he hesitated a moment. What about Virosleek? Was he always going to be haunting the love that Phatomsun had for him? Would he always be in the back of her mind, some lost dream that she wished she could have had longer? Hawkshadow swallowed hard, sad to think that Phantomsun had ever belonged to someone else, because he wasn't sure he could feel this way about another cat. Did that mean that she felt...just a little less for him than she ever did Virosleek? Blinking and shoving his insecurities away, Hawkshadow finally caught up with Phantomsun, hopping over branches and rocks scattered along the path. At least she looked happy, and he didn't want that to change yet. He didn't want to make her think about her past, knowing that it would hurt her to remember. Hawkshadow let out a small breath and put on an extra burst of speed to reach Phantomsun's side, and he nimbly licked the side of her muzzle just as he passed her, waving his tail cheekily as he sped along in frot of her.
