ooc: well since the seasons are always changing from post to post, lets make it winter :3, druid thread, soldiers should be able to roleplay too!
The air was crisp and cool as delicate flakes of snow swooped down on the Druid camp, covering the ground in fluffy hills and mounds. The snowfall was not strong, with piles of snow dotted the hillside with the absence of wind, to make this day a peaceful one. A delicate silver figure made her way back to camp, a small mouse clamped in her mouth. Prey was hard to come back and she was pleased she had managed to find this mouse. Her small paws skimmed the surface of the snow as her tail flicked behind her, eager to get back to camp to see her kits.
But they weren't really kits anymore. Patientleopard and Fiercesea would be getting mentors soon and leaving the den of their parents. Her midnight-blue eyes clouded with sadness at that thought. She adored her kits and loved being a mother. Nothing pleased her more then returning to her den and seeing her two beautiful kits and her mate.
At first, it had been strange to be with Leopard. After all, they hadn't talked much before they were assigned together and told that they would come to love each other, or at least, respect one another. Sea couldn't help but smile when she thought of her mate. He was a devoted father and wonderful mate. The praisers seemed like they knew what they were doing.
She thought about going to her den first, but decided to head to the Druid clearing first, wanting to visit with the other members beforehand. It was important that they retain close ties, especially with the clanners about. Sea had met a few clanners previously and they were not what she expected, warmhearted and genuine good cats. But it was still necessary to maintain a united front.
Sea dropped her mouse on the ground, her breath coming out in icy puffs, and she brushed the dust off her rich silver-swirled pelt. She lifted her head, eyes scanning the horizon and hoped that perhaps Leopard would come momentarily as well as the other druids.
ooc: ill add my soldier next post after i see who else joins along with patientleopard maybe

[Yayayayayay, Wazo! xD Muchas gracias, mis amigo. ^^ I needed some role play action very badly.]
A pretty, slender she-cat stepped lightly from the den that she had been inhabiting for the last few moons. Her silvery pelt reflected the sunlight off of it as soon as it hit. The most striking thing about her features, however, wasn't her stunning striped pelt. It wasn't her marbled spots that graced her flanks. No, it was her eyes. They were an amazing blue, and they rendered her body the characteristics that truly made it unique, though no cat has the same fur. None at all.
The she-cat reached out a long leg and batted at the snow, pretending she was something like a kit before retracting the paw. It seemed foolish to be acting that way, no matter how much she adored the snow. Her skin felt hot under her fur as she took a quick glance to make sure that no cat was watching.
Lady Luck wasn't on her side, though. Another cat was shortly behind her, his pelt very similar to hers except for the fact that it was brown and black rather than silver and dark gray and his eyes were a deep golden hue. The silver she-cat's embarrassment grew as he stepped up to her.
"Don't be embarrassed, Fiercesea," the tom mewed affectionately. "You won't always be this age forever. It's better to go ahead and take advantage of it while you have it."
But it wasn't the she-cat's father that turned her fur hot. Though she didn't show much interest in toms, she had her eye on one, and he was one that her father had just been a speaker to.
The dark tom stood directly behind behind Leopard, his whiskers twitching in amusement just directly above a thrush that was clamped in his mouth. His mis-matched eyes gleamed with it as well, which made it all the more horrible to see the toms. His condescending brother was standing beside him, too; the white tom rolled his eyes without bothering to hide the action. The embarrassment was replaced by anger. Hawk wasn't much older than she was! He hadn't received his speaker but a very short time before she had.
She nodded to them curtly before turning back to her father. "All the same, I'd rather not embarrass myself in front of the likes of any Druid," she meowed evenly. Particularly these two! she thought. "Besides, I'm hardly a kit anymore."
Leopard's eyes shone with pride. "And you think I'm not aware of that?" he replied with a smile. The three cats seemed to be headed towards the Druids' clearing, so Fiercesea fell in with them. "I can still remember when you were a kit, you know. It's not like I don't know how old you are," he added as a reminder. "We all have our fun moments every once in a while, though." The marbled tom cast a glance at Night and Hawk. "These two did today after Hawk scared off Night's thrush just to show him his own." Leopard had obviously noticed Hawk's attitude. The white tom scowled at the older ranger and shook his head.
"I didn't know he was hunting," he retorted, to which Night flicked him warningly with his tail.
Leopard grinned. "And he still acts somewhat like a kit, anyway," he whispered to his daughter.
Fiercesea smiled. Leopard apparently had a gift that could make any cat feel better almost instantly.
As the four cats entered the clearing, Fiercesea strayed to a side of it as her father approached Sea. Hawk strayed off to do whatever Hawk did; Night, on the other paw, followed the silver she-cat. He arrived only moments after she sat down.
The black tom placed his catch on the ground. "Mind if I join you?" he asked in his distinct voice. Something about it held a commanding hint. It was interesting for a ranger to sound like that. But, then again, not only his eyes had always been different from most other cats'. His spirit and soul always were, too. "We can share this; I'm not hungry enough to eat it alone."
Fiercesea could only nod. This would, at least, be a nice meal.
Leopard pressed his muzzle to Sea's flank. "Hello," he mewed softly. "Sorry I missed you. Hawk, Night, and I went out hunting." His whiskers twitched. "The Clanners seem to be getting closer. They're strange cats, those ones. I'm not sure how we're even all surviving here, what with their three...three...grou--Clans." Their names just couldn't stick with him. They were all the same as far as he was concerned. He had grown up in this forest without worry of Clanners. Now that they were here, he couldn't be too sure about what they were doing and how to really avoid them, since he didn't know a single one of them especially. They were all different, and different could sometimes be good, but not when it meant mouths to feed that didn't belong to Druids. He crouched next to her, belly fur barely touching the frosty ground. "So how has your day been, love?"
[Such a colorful post. o.o]

... not yelling and screaming like all the passengers in his car. ✫☆ -- It was still cool, and the tom's breath clouded in the air.
All around him - everywhere - seemed to be made of that same blinding hue and even as his own scarlet pools singed against that colorless expanse of ivory, he couldn't see anything else but the showering of bleached crystals against his ebonite pelt. It was a world of white - snowflakes falling gently against the frosty breeze, the prey hiding from the cold weather in their small burrows, the leaves of the trees nearly gone. The birds were huddled in the nook of the trees, gentle blue feathers merging with soft blanket of white. And all that was visible was frost - a winter frost is what it was. As another crystal fell upon his nose, the young tom awoke from his half-slumber and blinked rapidly against the frosted flakes, the coldness that pressed against his sallow-shaded frame suddenly becoming uncomfortable. Performing a dodging roll and sliding on the ice-slicked ground, the playful ranger continued to play in the snow-covered floor, the chilled snow continuing his light shower on his dark fur. Everything was just so white and transparent that he couldn't help but marvel at it. " What are you doing? " Alizarin - such an odd name for a ranger, wouldn't you say? - lifted his head at the voice and a wry smile crossed his beautiful features as soon as he spotted the sleek, though unmistakably lithe, form of his half-sister. " Scarlet!", he called happily, his light voice ringing through the air and flashed her a lop-sided grin that was purely - no mistaking it - Black Alizarin Crimson. Letting out a carefree laugh, he loped forward to stand in front of her ginger frame and his grin widened when - because of his reckless nature - the action caused a burst of snow to splash in her face. With an irritating hiss, Scarlet unsheathed a paw and slid forward smoothly to swipe him across the muzzle, but her half-brother carefully careened to the side and dodged the attack. Outstretching a forepaw as he did so, the tom crouched against the frost and stomach pressing lightly against the frozen grass, he tripped the wonderful scarlet-hued femme. She let out a horrible screech of indignance, terribly furious at her half-brother [not for the first time] and continued to scream angrily, though muffled - almost like a spoiled child who didn't get what she wanted, though she was defiantly much more dangerous than one of such status - as he pushed a black paw against her neck, rather cheerfully stuffing her face deeper into the snow. " S-stop it Alizarin! ", she finally managed once the dark tom had - once again - become mesmerized by the dazzling expanse of white at his paws, the sun's paler - now shrouded by some clouds - light causing it to twinkle between them. Seeing her chance, the she-cat smacked him straight across the muzzle, claws unsheathed. He flinched from her touch, stumbling against the solid ice at his paws and his muzzle bearing the bright red marks of her attack, the scarlet blood on her claws and his face clear evidence of it, the tom cast a frown in her direction while she continued to - obviously still furious, but when was she not furious at him? - glare profusedly at her half-brother. " That wasn't nice, " he commented before strolling forward lightly - his sable paws dancing against the colorless, almost transparent soil- and crouched in front of her, eyes flashing deviously. She just stared at him, utterly confused. He clapped his paws and a puff of snow blew in her face. She screamed. His bright laughter rising through the air, the most glorious expression crossed her face - only making her tremble in fury more - before he pranced backwards and his paws barely making prints in the snow, he began dancing under the dim sunlight, the warmness of its rays [since he black and long-haired, the heat was increased by ten-fold] making his fur prickle. Forgetting all of her precious notions of keeping her cool, Scarlet suddenly shot after him with a few inaudible cusses and flew across the ground after him, her paws - if not more graceful - dancing against the pallid undergrowth. They suddenly were like angels that, dancing in the sunlight, were so perfect and wonderful that it took ones breath away. Well, if not for the fact that Alizarin seemed to be just barely escaping the threat of death and of course oblivious to it all, his amused chuckles that rung in his ears making his half-sister all the more furious; if not for the fact that Scarlet was pounding after him, amber pools ablaze, as she tried to rip him to shreds. This scene - however - was quite normal in the life of a druid; for them, that is. However, this time - so unlike all those other times - the two siblings [one so caught up in his inner joy and the other caught up in her outward anger] had failed to notice that - for once - they were not the only ones in camp and that - for once - other cats would be able to see them. They also didn't remember to watch out for other cats, or at least Scarlet didn't notice -- Alizarin did, but he was still too insanely happy - as aways - to really care or rather, wonder what the aftermaths would be if he slammed into them. This was going to be fun. With a carefree yowl, he briefly crouched and unmatchable Alizarin-power building in his hind legs, shot forward. Oh. Grinning crookedly at the she-cat between his paws, his eyes unnaturally bright with amusement as his sister flailed and landed right on Night. He laughed again, a wonderful chiming sound. He had landed, all right. Right into Fiercesea and her wonderful meal. [/blockquote]
It's true you never know what the future holds, but if you live your life for what could be you will only end up missing out on all the fun that can be had in the here and now. I live my life not in the past, thinking about what was, not in the future, thinking about what could be, I live my life in the present, enjoying every second.

Night had been watching Fiercesea closely. She was a she-cat who was out of the ordinary. She had been interesting.
The silver she-cat was speaking, but the words weren't quite meeting his ears correctly for some reason. His mind was just focused on other parts of the forest rather than here.
The ebony tom had always been a daydreamer. Things always happened right under his nose, particularly things that he had no idea about. He usually showed no sign that they had happened, either. With his daydreaming bit, he also rarely ever got angered at cats. He considered this to be one of his best traits. Too many cats had been ones who had lost their tempers easily. He saw too many of those cats. They did annoy him. Tempers weren't things to be so careless about.
So it shouldn't have surprised any cat that, when Scarlet landed on him, he just stepped out of the way after shaking his pelt to dust off a bit of the snow that had followed the tom cat.
Nor should it have surprised any cat that Fiercesea leaped to her paws with an indignant hiss.
Night turned his head to see that Alizarin had landed on the thrush that he had caught and let Fiercesea enjoy with him.
Before she could utter a word to the half-siblings, Night smiled. Always the one who would rather back away from any problems, he simply mewed, "It's lovely, isn't it? All of the snow?" And with that, he sent a spray of snow over the both of them.
Night laughed gleefully before Fiercesea finally realized what was happening. A smile spread across her face as she waited for the cats' reactions; what a fun game this could be! Thoughts of acting like an adult ranger had completely left her mind. Right now, at this moment, she knew that she and Night could be a force against the half-siblings who had ruined her time alone with him.
What did it matter, anyway? This could be amazingly fun. And it was still with Night.
The marbled-and-spotted she-cat dipped her paw down deeper into the snow, readying herself to send a flurry at the two cats just as Night had done.
[Hehe... Not horrible. =D]

... not yelling and screaming like all the passengers in his car. ✫☆ -- Unsurprisingly, the tom just laughed.
Although the loud, hysterical cry that shattered the quiet atmosphere of the awakening dawn, thrusting the world forward into an alert state of being. would have - under normal circumstances - made other cats flush in embarrassment of his lack of concern for those around him or be angered by it, the black tom seemed nonplussed by it as he flashed the two cats a mind-boggling, crooked and purely-Alizarin grin. He giggled cheerfully and clasped his paws together, sending another puff of snow right in Fiercesnow's face. Blowing happily at the spray of slush that covered his face, the tom danced forward and he leaned forward, careening to the left, to dodge the next bunch of snow that the soon-to-be listener aimed at him and his half-sister. Meanwhile, sputtering snow, Scarlet scrambled to her paws and cast a death-glare at all three cats, a low growl growing deep in her throat. " I. am. going. to. kill. you, " she hissed at the trio, lips curled into a menacing snarl, and claws unsheathed, raking against the fresh snow, she leaned backwards briefly before springing at Alizarin - the first culprit. The tom, however, was - surprisingly more agile and sleeker than his sister - so he pranced to the side to stand in front of Night, ducking when his half-sibling jumped so she landed, limbs sprawled outwards, on his friend. He giggled again. Positively insane with a sort of cheerfulness that - despite his past - only this particular ranger could pull off, the tom flashed a heart-melting grin in the young femme's direction and leaned back on his haunches briefly before flinging himself forward, forepaws outstretched, against the luminescent soil beneath his paws. Sliding against the ice, he aimed for the pretty she-cat and managed to catch his two sable paws in hers, twirling her over, before tumbling in the snow along with her -- still promptly ignoring the profanities that Scarlet continued to yowl at him. Once they stopped and he could get a clear view of her, Alizarin grabbed a pawful of snow and smashed it in her face before gleefully dancing away, his paws light against the angelic texture at his paws, towards Night. I know, Night! " he mewed happily, twirling under the sun's gentle rays, and paws pressed deeper into the ivory snow, the luminescent flakes having already printed clouds of it upon his pelt, he preformed a dodge-roll from another one of Scarlet's claws - the sharp knife grazing the top of his head where a star-shaped [he liked to think, though not many agreed] marking lay - before tumbling in the soft, fluffy substance. " They're like clouds, " he mumbled, playing with the soft snow, as he batted them between his paws and eyes twinkling, he gathered the sparkling - from the sun, still - snow in his right forepaw before raising himself on his hindlegs and promptly flinging in Fiercesea's direction. Hehe, this was better than playing chase; maybe Night and him could form a team. Hawk wasn't very nice so Alizarin didn't like playing with him and since Night - who he liked - rarely was away from his side, they never got to play but Alizarin liked to think of the dark tom as a very good companion - not funner than Scarlet, since his reactions weren't as amusing. " Toms against she-cats! " he yelled immediatly before he forgot. He laughed again and threw another ball of snow in Scarlet's face. She screamed and chased him, the expression on her face furious enough to make anyone flinch in pure fear. Her ivories glinted in the sun, amber orbs burning, and sprung at her half-brother; luckily enough he seemed to be mesmerized by the snow so she managed to scrape her claws across his backside before he scrambled back. It left large, red marks that was enough to make any cat think they were horribly injured. Instead of screaming as any normal cat would, Alizarin instead stared at his half-sister with wide eyes and whimpered, " Scarlet, that hurt." She, in return, smacked him across the head and growled, " Of course that hurt, idiot. It was meant to." He frowned and leaned down, nose gathering a pawful of snow, before raising himself again. And so, yet again, she was hit with a bullet of snow. Furious now, she screamed and Alizarin pranced away, jumping over Fiercesea. She landed right on her, unable to tear away in time. So, the dark tom simply sat back on his haunches, a wide and impossibly cheerful grin plastered on his face despite the blood dripping down his backside. Whiskers twitching, he tilted his head innocently to the side and with an ear flat against his head, giggled. " Funfunfun, " he chanted and danced over to Night's side. He smashed the tom's head with a pawful of snow. Ah, fun. [/blockquote]
It's true you never know what the future holds, but if you live your life for what could be you will only end up missing out on all the fun that can be had in the here and now. A smile graced her delicate features as her mate and daughter strode into view, accompanied by a few more toms. She purred sofly as Leopard nuzzled her, blinking her midnight blue eyes at him that were laced with love. "No problems, I got in a hunting trip this morning, but only found a mouse," she gestured with a silver paw, evidently disapointed. "But rather plump for this snowy weather," she reflected outloud, smiling back at Leopard.
How interesting that two cats "assigned" together could have worked out so well. It was no longer a question in her mind, she truely loved her mate, his kindness and his devotion to the kits made him perfect in her midnight eyes. "How was your hunting trip?" she asked, her tail flicking curiously. "Any luck?"
Before he answered, in the corner of her eye, she spotted her daughter and several of the other druids involved in something that seemingly resembled a snowball fight. Her eyes blinked curiously as Fiercesea ate a meal with Night, another druid and seemed to be working together with him in their game. That was interesting. Could it be that her daughter had developed a liking for him? She wondered how the praisers would handle that when they assigned mates, as she herself had never been in that situation. What if they didn't realize this and assigned her to another? Sea knew nothing good would come of that as she turned her head back to look at Leopard.
It was just then that her second kit, Patientleopard, came strolling up the path. He often spent his time alone, too shy to engage himself with most other cats and usually spent the early mornings exploring the area around his parent's den. In the distance, he could very easily be mistaken for his father, a stunning spotted gold pelt that reflected the bright winter sun. As he came closer, one could see his mother's eyes, although a few shades lighter, but the same size, copied in the middle of his face. His tail too was a giveaway, a short stump that he was kitted with.
He greeted his mother and father with a warm smile, blinking his eyes cheerfully at them, but deciding to go sit by the other young druids involved in a snowball fight. If he had been a little less shy, he would have asked to join, or if he had been like his sister, joined straightaway. For now, he sat on the sidelines.

LEOPARD SMILED. SPENDING HIS TIME with Sea was something that was invaluable to him. He wouldn't trade it for anything.
At the moment, his thoughts were on the same page, so to speak, as hers were. He couldn't help but to revel in the fact that he and she had turned out so well together. They loved each other and they had two kits that they loved dearly.
Nothing could be better in life.
With the slightest shrug, Leopard replied, "Things could have been better. Night caught a thrush, but I think that was about it. I caught a vole, and Hawk blames his miss on Night, of course." He smiled. "I'm glad that you were able to make your kill, though. That's good. At least some cats get to eat well tonight." He let out a mrrow of laughter.
The marbled tom turned his attention to his daughter, Night, and Scarlet and Alizarin. He watched Patientleopard make his way over towards them and sit down, observing the snowball fight.
"It's good that Fiercesea has such good friends," he mewed absent-mindedly, again thinking nearly the same thoughts that Sea was. Their relationship was...odd...and the tom could tell that his daughter had taken a liking to Night, though he showed no wish to return the affection.
Interesting how that could turn out...
FIERCESEA MOVED AWAY FROM THE snowball fight towards her brother after she scrambled away from Scarlet. "I don't want to play anymore," she whined after she had seen Scarlet's temper and how she was behaving. She enjoyed Alizarin's good-natured humor and Night's fun-loving attitude, but she couldn't stand Scarlet. Something was just...strange about her.
Night frowned as he watched her move away. He had to admit that the powers that Scarlet had seemed to be...frightening, to say the least, but he felt sorrier for Alizarin. He seemed to be the one who was taking the blunt force of the she-cat's anger.
With a sigh, Night turned back towards Alizarin. "Maybe this isn't the best game for right now," he mewed softly with a glance towards Scarlet. "Maybe this would be a good time to take a breather for all of us?"
Night didn't want for things to get out of hand, and they definitely were. Everyone needed to get him- or herself under control once more before they could begin to get the snowball fight back up and running. Maybe this would be a nice way to start?
He padded over to Fiercesea and sat by her side. He smiled warmly at her and brushed away a patch of snow before he sat down, his fur almost brushing hers.
"Sorry," he mewed after giving her forehead a quick apologetic lick. "We'll try to have a bit more fun the next time, hmm?"
With a snort, Fiercesea turned away from the black tom. "Doubt it," she hissed angrily. "I don't like her..."
Night frowned. Certainly there would be some way that they could all just get along...

))I'm confused. First off, Fiercesea should be somewhere between 6-9 moons old tops. Secondly, it's late summer... That I blame myself for; I should have put the season in the header ages ago.
Also, Fiercesea won't recieve her Speaker until the upcoming fall. Hawk and Night would have became Rangers in the previous winter, several moons before Fiercesea was born.(( [/blockquote]

[Well, the age thing can be easily fixed... We can just remember that for later role plays. But this whole thread was kind of based on the fact that it's winter... It won't really hurt that much if we just role play the rest of this one out, will it? I just don't think we should have to throw this whole thing away... Maybe it can be a past event or something?]
