"Eclipse" by Stephenie Meyer

Does anyone read these books? The first on was "Twilight" and the second one was "New Moon".

I was reading the 3rd one today, "Eclipse", and I must complain about it. I just can't hold it in anymore..There may be [SPOILERS] ahead for anyone who has not read "Eclipse" yet. I haven't finished it yet but I'm almost done...




First off, I absolutely do not like the idea of Bella and Edward getting married. I'm so used to Bella just saying "no no no" to getting married. But then she just gave in so easily for something so ridiculous.

I'm unhappy with Bella and Jacob's relationship too. I think it'd be so much better if Jacob would just be "Alright, Edward and you is okay. Let's be bestest friends again". When Edward left Bella their friendly relationship just really fit. It's getting old how Jacob's all "I love you Bella and you love me too. I hate Edward and he hates me". I'm just sick of it.

Bella's also getting very pathetic, especially towards the end of "Eclipse". I used to not have a problem with her but I just hate her now. The books really have changed. I miss the old feel to it they had. It might be this whole marriage thing that's upsetting me, I'm not sure. I really wanted to keep reading these books but now I feel like I just don't want to touch them. I know it's going to bug me that I just gave up on them when I'm only 5 chapters away from the end.

It might be that it's just getting, well, boring. All there is, is Edward and Jacob fighting over Bella and Bella whining about hurting Jacob and blah blah blah.


I'm sorry if you think my opinions are a little harsh or if you've never heard of this books and you were completely lost by the first sentence of this post. ^^ I really needed to get this out.

Nah, I haven't read these books. I've heard alot about them and I would love to read them at some point, but I haven't found them at my library and I'm not going to buy them just to read them...

That's a shame. The first and second ones were pretty good but I think it all went downhill with the third one. The books are kind of expensive too. I payed $19 for one, but probably because it was hardcover. Paperback might cost less, but I didn't see any like that at the bookstore.

I have $30 to Barnes & Noble on giftcards from Christmas, but I'm saving just over half of it for the newest Warriors book "Dark River." I've heard some pretty good reviews off of it. x3

Ohjeez there's a new Warriors book already? I haven't even finished "The Sight" yet.

So many books to read. And I just got Stephen Colbert's book too. T_T

Stephen Colbert's book? It's "I Am America (And So Can You!)". It has such nice reviews:

Yeah... I haven't heard anything about that one. What's it about? Fictional or non-fiction?

It's pretty much, non-fiction satire. Mostly political, I'd guess. I haven't had a chance to read it. I bought the book because I like Stephen Colbert, he's funny. Also because I'd imagine it's the same sort of books Al Franken writes, Al Franken has some pretty good books out.

Hmm. I'm not much into non-fiction, let alone anything political. Hense why I read so much fantasy. ^^;;

But, yeah, Dark River came out on Wednesday, as well as the second "manga" about Graystripe.

I really don't think it's manga, 'cause 1.) it's American/British 2.) it's, like, 50 pages long!

I don't want to read the "manga" they came out with. I think it's just ridiculous. Why couldn't they just write what happened to Greystripe? I like traditional, Japanese manga better. I don't like American manga.

I remember that they came out with a sort of "manga" thing for Avatar: The Last Airbender. I saw it at my school Book Fair and I flipped through it and I was like "What's the heck is this? This is just stupid." All it was, was pictures from the show with speech bubbles.

Yeah, they do that for alot of stuff, both American and Japanese. They did it for Howl's Moving Castle.

Oh, the one American manga I like is Dramacon. Sure, it's flopped, but I still love it... So dramatic, so whimsical, so.... awesome. 83

Howl's Moving Castle was a movie by Hayao Miyazaki, right?

She's publishing the fourth book, Breaking Dawn which will end the series apparently

i totally agree Patmos, I read the third one and I want to hit Jacob, GAHHHH, he drove me up the wall during the third book

Me and my friend had a huge problem with Bella in the second book because of her..lack of common sense, it took her so long to figure anything out, grrrr

The first book was my favorite, by far.

I haven't read any of the new Warrior's books, or the manga about Graystripe, and it makes me sad.

Right now I just finished reading The Skies of Pern (Anne McCaffrey), and I'm re-reading Eragon.

I absolutely love the author Terry Pratchett, if that has to do with anything. And Anne McCaffrey.

Yeh, I read a lot of fantasy too...really, that's mostly all I read...

Not one for non-fiction, especially political...such a nerd...*giggle*

I think that pretty much covers it. x)
