Cloverstream had been in the back of her den, placing the last of the juniper berries and catmint into their seperate containers dug into the walls when Loststar called the meeting. She flicked her ears and heard muttered greetings to a new cat. Well, she'll deal with the new warrior later. She had work to do.
Suddenly, she smelt blood, and her fur rose along her spine. That was Wolfstep's blood. Rushing out, she caught the word 'badger.' Oh no... The thought of the patrol made her wince, and she was about to command Wolfstep to come into her den to get that wound checked when Loststar spoke, commanding Wolfstep and the others to follow him. Everything was happening too fast!
A moan came from to her right and whipping her head around she saw Inkpool stagger towards the nursery. Kit time? At this moment?! With a groan she whipped around in time to see Blackluck and half of her supply of poppy seeds. With a furious hiss, she flung herself into the nursery after the cat.
"Don't you dare give those to her!" she hissed in fury, swiping the poppy seeds away. "Never give a pregnant cat poppy seeds you mouse-brain! And don't you even think to give a cat herbs without my permission! You'll end up poisoning them. Now go make yourself useful and bring me juniper berries and borage leaves." she spat angrily at Blackluck. Then she turned to Inkpool and her eyes softened.
"You are doing just fine. Your kits will be fine." she sat by her, licking her stomach comfortingly. Starclan help them all! She was at loss for words, her mind still spinning from everything happening so quickly. Mouse-dung! Get your head together! You're a medicine cat! she scolded herself.

Eclipsedmoon jumped slightly at the new patrol and decided that, for the moment, their words could be saved for later. With a little shrug, she staggered to her paws. He could bring it up later if he really wanted to.
At first, black filled the tabby's vision and she had to let her body touch the ground for a moment before pulling herself to her paws again, vision still slightly blurred.
"I'm glad you all could actually find us," she mewed gratefully. She smiled at her leader and brother. It disappeared as she began to recount her tale. "There was a badger on the territory, and it's not like we killed it, of course..." She frowned. "But we at least made it out okay." She cast a glance at Crowflight before directing her full attention to Loststar. "I think we're both kind of out of it, though," she added finally with a hint of a smile. "Can we go back to the camp now?"
She was safe--he was safe--they were safe. Everything was perfect.

Eveningrain hadn't been paying attention to any cat except for Inkpool, so when Cloverstream lashed out at Blackluck, he started.
The tom's green eyes glowed with anger. "Blackluck was just trying to help," he snapped as he glared at the medicine cat.
His nerves were absolutely frayed, and this wasn't a good situation, he knew, for Inkpool to be a mother in distress. That never ended well.
"Don't try to put more stress on her than there already is by being annoyed at one of her Clanmates while she's about to kit," he growled more quietly, eyes trained on his mate.
Eveningrain never spoke with so much fury in his life, and he knew that it was still contained within him. Nothing mattered more to him than Inkpool and his Clan, and therefore his kits and his Clanmates as well.
"There were gentler ways that you could have told her to not use those."
Being one of TealClan's senior warriors had taken a toll on him--he had seen what others hadn't, and therefore was more likely to become vexed at cats who didn't know better, though he rarely showed that annoyance.
The tabby tom rasped his tongue over Inkpool's ebony pelt. "It's going to be okay," he mewed softly close to her ear. "And you'll have the finest kits TealClan has ever seen again."
He just couldn't stand the thought of losing any of his family members--especially not now.

After Blackluck had attempted to comfort Inkpool, she looked down at the Poppy Seeds. '...Can a pregnant cat even eat when in labor...?' She thought to herself, trying to control the panic building up inside her that came with the realization that she had no idea what do to, at all! Blackluck had bent down and picked up a poppy seed, only to have it swiped from her.
The pitch black she-cat's mouth opened and closed again in shock as she looked up at the cat who did that. Cloverstorm...the medicine cat of Tealclan. Blackluck stared with wide, shocked yellow eyes. The medicine cats sunk in, harsh as they were. '...I could have killed Inkpool!" Blackluck was at a lose for words...but she wasn't feeling completely down on herself. Anger flared up inside of her for being talked to in such a way.
Blackluck just sighed at herself, regaining control and nodding. " I am sorry. I will get you the Juniper Berries and Borage Leaves." The she-cat said, in as steady a voice as she could. Before Blackluck went to get the herbs, she could hear Eveningrain defending her and Blackluck felt even more ashamed now. Any anger she had towards Cloverstorm shrunk to make room for shame. "I could have killed his mate! I don't deserve to have Eveningrain stand up for me. I wish I had ignored his shouting and just looked for my sisters."
It only took a minute or two to dart from the Nursery to the Medicine Den and back again. Blackluck wasn't sure where to set the herbs, so she put them down near Inkpool. Dipping her head in respect to the medicine cat, Blackluck looked up and said "I need to go find my sisters now. Who knows where they are, in all of this confusion." And with that, darted out of the Nursery. She didn't need to deal with this anymore then she had too, and besides, Jinxcharm and Hexspell should be back by now. Her sisters would want to know everything she knew about what was happening now.

Her mind had been in a haze of distress, her whole body consumed with pain. She didn't realize anything that was going on around her, except for tones and smells. Cloverstream's sharp, then suddenly soothing tone. Eveningrain's angered and loving one just after, and his overpoweringly comforting scent.
But then, most of the pain was gone. All that was left was the sensation of warm bodies nuzzling against her and pure exhaustion. Trying to focus on her surroundings, or at least her kits, Inkpool lifted her head in a pitiful attempt at consciousness before letting it fall to the nest once more, a soft moan of lingering pain and exhaustion escaping her before she closed her eyes, breathing still ragged, body slumped to the ground.
"Eveningrain..." She mewed pathetically, desperate for comfort. She felt alone, so alone, what was this? This strange feeling within her? Fear? Fear for what? Eclipsedmoon! It came back to her in a flash, the danger her daughter was in, the desperate chase that Whiteshadow and Wolfstep had left on, just as she'd begun to kit.
"Eclipsedmoon!" She cried out, her eyes snapping open, fear in her every pore. Was her daughter okay? Was she safe? Please, Starclan, she prayed, her heart pounding erratically within her chest, please let my baby be okay!
{a little short, guys, sorry...}

[For the sake of getting the role play up and going again, let's say that the patrol found Eclipsedmoon and Crowflight and they're all coming back to the camp since they were already headed back by the time that the patrol had left... I hope that's all right with everyone. I have slight writer's block problems right now, so please bear with me. >.<]
HOME. THEY WERE FINALLY HOME after their so very traumatic experience. Eclipsedmoon stumbled in through the entrance of TealClan's camp. She wasn't bleeding nearly as badly as she had been due to the damp snow that had helped to keep the blood flow to a minimum due to its coldness. The white flakes had been building up and were growing closer and closer to a mouse-length deep. Suddenly she heard her name coming from the nursery and she snapped to the moment and stopped thinking about the stupid snow.
The tabby forgot her pain momentarily and bounded as quickly as she could towards the source of the voice. She stopped suddenly as soon as she entered the nursery and felt a sharp pain shoot up her leg. A sound came from her mouth as she snapped her jaws shut to keep any sound from coming out.
Slowly, carefully this time, she made her way towards her mother.
"It's okay, Inkpool," she mewed huskily. "I'm home. I'm safe. Crowflight and I...er...just encountered a bit of a problem." She beamed the best she could. "Hopefully thanks to our efforts," she mewed as she tucked her paws under her body after lying down, "the forest will be safer for the new little ones, so please calm down. Please," she added, a note of synonymous pleading in her voice. A huge yawn escaped her. "I just...need some sleep..."
Eveningrain had pressed himself close to Eclipsedmoon. "As happy as I am that you're safe, you need some medicinal attention," he purred, grateful that his daughter was all right and that his mate's mind could be put at ease. "Hopefully the medicine cat will be back soon. And if poor Crowflight looks anything like you do, I'm sure he will, too." Eveningrain looked around and craned his neck to catch a glance of the camp outside of the nursery. "Speaking of Crowflight, where is he?"
Eclipsedmoon bristled. "Focus on Inkpool," she nearly growled. "We'll talk about that later," she added, calming down noticeably after her father shot her a glance.
