From inside of the leader's den, which was a cleft in the side of a boulder, a small yawn could be heard. Next the leader, Aquapulse, stepped out. He looked around. He was happy with this camp...very happy, actually. It was safely protected by thorn bushes. No one else could get inside this camp unless they were a Tealclanner. Of course, clans have been known to catch other clanners and force secrets out of them...but for a time, he was convinced he wouldn't have to worry.
Best thing to do was to get to work. First business of the day. Organize a patrol. Aquapulse looked over at the fresh kill pile. This was the first day in their new camp, but for now, the fresh kill pile had enough in it. He looked around. Not many clanners were up yet...but once they were, he'd decide who would go on patrol. He was actually still debating if he should go on patrol with them. But if he did, Midnightfaith would have to look after the camp while he was gone with the patrol. He looked around his deputy. "I can't believe I'm up now..." a she-cat's voice grumbled to herself. It was none other then Hexspell, that lovely ray of sunshine. She blinked and yawned. Her sisters were still asleep. She was hardly up herself. |

A dark ginger pulled himself from his nest beneath the lip of the boulder. He paused to give his chest a good lick before trotting over to the fresh-kill pile. Glancing over, he saw that Aquapulse was awake already. Giving the leader a respectful nod, Flamescar snatched up a mouse and found himself a comfortable place to sit and enjoy it.
The morning sun came down into the camp, hitting the warrior's back and warming him. With a yawn, he leaned down to lick one paw. Today would be an excellent day to start teaching Whitepaw to swim! The water would still be somewhat cold, but, by sunhigh, it would be plenty warm enough. They'd already found a place where several logs blocked in the water, so no young cat could go out too far. Perhaps Lostmoon or Nightrain would come join them... [/blockquote] |

The black warrior padded into camp, nodding in greeting towards his leader and Flamescar and walking over to the fresh kill pile and taking a small mouse. He chewed thoughtfully, his mind focused on the day ahead, a day as a mentor. He wasn't sure if he was ready, not for Cloudpaw, and his mismatched eyes reflected his concern. But he couldn't let his feelings for Beepaw get in the way of being the best possible mentor he could be. Still, from he had seen of Cloudpaw's personality, Lostmoon's quiet strength would be a perfect balance. Besides, he would have plenty of help from the other warriors. It seemed like half the clan was mentoring Inkpool and Eveningrain's kits...
Lostmoon wasn't the only one entering camp. Following behind was Sunstreak, the sun shining down and lighting up her ginger fur and creating a sparkle in her brown eyes. The world looked so much different as a warrior and today, for the first time, she was able to explore it by herself. And she loved every minute of it. The warioress sat down in a particularly sunny spot and proceeded to clean herself from her morning exploration. Perhaps Aquapulse will send her on the patrol or on a hunting trip this morning.

Whitepaw stretched his sleek, and lithe black body, yawning briefly. He looked around the makeshift camp, he scanned the familiar shapes of cats, noting with a pang that those of 'other' clans were not there. Sighing wistfully, he stretched again, unsheathing and sheathing his claws simultaneously.
It was a beautiful day..where was Flamescar? His bright green eyes looked around, before spotting his mentor. He padded over, tail up, a smile on his face.
"Hi, Flamescar. What're we gonna do today?" He asked, his tail-tip twitching in excitement and curiosity. |

Aquapulse watched as cats slowly started to appear in camp. He eyed Sunstreak. She could definatly go on a patrol today. He looked around. Maybe Flamescar and Whitepaw? No, it looked at though Flamescar wanted to train his apprentice today, and having to do so on a patrol would only make it harder. Then he saw Hexspell. She could go. Now they only needed one more cat. Lostmoon? Aquapulse sent him out hunting just a day or so before though. If Midnightfaith would appear, he could go, but it looked like she wasn't going to show for sometime.
"Sunstreak, Hexspell." He called both she-cats in a loud, bubbly voice. He had quite an amount of energy. "I'd like you both to go out on a patrol. I'll leave it to you both to find one or two more cats to go with you." He told them. [/center] Hexspell grumbled, rolled her eyes, and got up from where she was sitting to walk over to Sunstreak. "...So, your Sunstreak, right? Lets hurry up and find another cat." She told the other she-cat, a bit impatiently.

Sunstreak nodded, a little put off by Hexspell's attitude, but no matter. Maybe she woke up on the wrong side or something...Sunstreak was in too good of a mood this fine day to let that get her down. Besides, after the way Wolfpaw has been treating her, this was nothing.
Wolfpaw, now that subject could get her angry. She couldn't believe how he had been ignoring her and treating her so distantly. She was his friend and then as soon as she became a warrior, he just didn't care anymore. It made her chocolate brown eyes flash in anger just thinking about it. Well he could just hang out with the other apprentices if that's what he wanted. Sunstreak couldn't care less what that furball did with his time....
Sunstreak turned her attention to the matter at hand. "Well I suppose Lostmoon could, but he's been hunting lately. Maybe an apprentice and a mentor if they wanted to explore the territory," she suggested.

Midnightfaith suddenly padded out of the warriors den, not looking very happy. She had wanted to be up earlier, but she hadn't slept well, and had only gotten to sleep after moonhigh. So, she had unconsciously slept longer than she had wanted to, and none of the others, some of whom she knew had been up for a while, considering the way their fur was perfectly groomed. She padded over to the fresh-kill pile, snagged a mouse, and walked over to Aquapulse. She gave her leader and friend a respectful nod before she settled down, and took a bite of her mouse. She glanced up at him from her meal, waiting to see what he wanted her to do after she was done. A deputy's work was never finished.

Aquapulse nodded at Midnightfaith. He was happy she was finally up. "Took your sweet time?" He joked with Midnightfaith with a small laugh. He thought for a momment. "When your done, Midnightfaith, perhaps you could go get Jinxcharm up and go hunting with her." He told her.
Hexspell sighed. "Fine. Lets get...Flamescare and Whitepaw, hm?" She asked Sunstreak.

Midnightfaith nodded at her leader's order, taking another bite of her mouse. Swallowing the juicy bit of fresh-kill, she turned her gaze on her friend again. "I'm sorry I wasn't up. I meant to be, but I didn't sleep well, and it seems that no one thought to wake me. I have no excuse, and I apologize." She fell silent, gulping down the last of her meal. "I'll go wake Jinxcharm, now," she said quietly, before padding back to the warriors' den. Once there, she nudged the other black she-cat. "Jinxcharm. It's time to wake up."
