(Alright...lets try this again, shall we^^'? ) It may have been morning, but Aquapulse was already up and about. He was finishing his breakfast of a small brown rabbit. When he was done, he yawned and streatched out, then buried the bones of the rodent. He looked around. Cats had to start waking up soon. It had been many moons since they first made this place Tealclan camp, and many cats were now used to the daily routine. Aquapulse yawned again, though he looked as though he was awake. Once Midnightfaith, his deputy, got up he'd go out on a patrol with two or three other cats. He waited patiently.

The black warrior padded into camp, nodding in greeting towards his leader and walking over to the fresh kill pile and taking a small mouse. Lostmoon chewed thoughtfully, his mind focused on the day ahead, his mismatched eyes thoughtful. He couldn't let his feelings for Beepaw get in the way of being the best possible mentor he could be, but everything Cloudpaw did reminded him of his little brother. He was trying so hard to be a diligent mentor, but it was all new to him. Still, his quiet strength was a good match for Cloudpaw. Besides, he had plenty of help from the other warriors. It seemed like half the clan was mentoring Inkpool and Eveningrain's kits...
Lostmoon wasn't the only one entering camp. Following behind was Sunstreak, the sun shining down and lighting up her ginger fur and creating a sparkle in her brown eyes. She was used to the routine of a warrior, as she spent the morning patrolling the territory. It seemed like moons ago that she was a mere apprentice. The warioress sat down in a particularly sunny spot and proceeded to clean herself from her morning exploration. Perhaps Aquapulse will send her on the patrol or on a hunting trip this morning.

As if on cue, when Aquapulse thought her name, Midnightfaith padded out of the warriors' den. Her black pelt glinted in the sun as she padded over to her friend. "Sleep well, Aquapulse?" She asked. (Writer's block. >_<)

Aquapulse looked over at Midnightfaith and nodded to her. "Morning." He nodded. He looked over at Sunstreak. He decided he would take her on the patrol with him...but he would leave Lostmoon behind to watch the camp with Midnightfaith. Before he did anything though, more cats needed to appear. He wished Jinxcharm or Hexspell or Blackluck would wake up. He looked back at Midnightfaith. "It's a nice day...I think I'll go out on a patrol soon. When I do, just make sure you keep a good eye on the camp. Not that it's going anywhere." He laughed.

Midnightfaith nodded, mirth glittering in her green eyes. She laughed, a light chuckle that caught on the breeze. "Alright. Is there anything you wanted me to do before you leave?" She asked. (Still with the wb...Nya.)

Nightrain cheerfully trotted out of the warriors den. His stomach growled with hunger and the tom replied with an "Oh?". He continued to smile while he took a large breath.
"Good morning TealClan!" He bellowed, his voice ringing throughout the camp. The ebony tom danced his way over to the fresh-kill pile, twisting his tail every which way and twirling on his paws. He casually plucked a mouse from the small pile, humming an unknown tune. Quickly finishing it off he licked his muzzle and buried the bones. He examined the camp, now without something do.
Sootwind stepped lightly forward, approaching Nightrain. He held a delicate smile on his face, the warmth of the sun fueling the brightness in his eyes. He shook his head when Nightrain gestured to the fresh-kill pile. "Well you certainly seem happy this morning."
"As do you my good tom!" Nightrain replied rather loudly.

A small, fluffy tabby tom slipped from his nest beneath the lip of one of the boulders. He spotted Sunstreak and quickly glanced away from her, keeping his head down. Why did she always have to be around? Of course, he enjoyed spending time with her, but it was always so awkward... He wondered if she was still upset with him after their last conversation....
A loud voice broke through his thoughts. Ah, at last! Nightrain. Sighing, the quiet tom slipped over to his mentor. Dipping his head in respect for both tom warriors, Wolfpaw turned his dark brown gaze to his mentor. "Er, Nightrain? I.... I thought maybe we could go on a patrol or hunting...?" Compared to how easily Wolfpaw spoke with Sunstreak usually, it was surprising how he spoke to his own mentor. Around his family, he rarely spoke at all... So it was really only around Sunstreak that he spoke without a single stutter or pause.... [/blockquote]

Sunstreak's dark brown eyes flickered over to their leader who glanced over at her. Most likely he would take her on patrol this morning but was waiting for more warriors to wake up to the sunshine of this fine day. She decided to wait until he actually called upon her and gave her fur a few more good licks. She looked up and laughed softly as Nightrain announced his arrival, purring slightly. At least somebody was happy about today and Nightrain was always good for a laugh. Today was going to be a busy day, the prey pile needed to be refilled, patrols had to be carried out, and of course, the many apprentices of TealClan needed to be trained.
Speaking of apprentices, Sunstreak saw in the corner of her eye the fluffy figure of a tom. Glancing over, she saw how Wolfpaw looked away so soon, as if unwilling to meet her eyes. Sunstreak felt her pelt bristle with indignation and she looked away as well. Why was he always able to make her so angry? Sometimes he wanted to be her friend and sometimes he didn't. She supposed today was one of those "ignore Sunstreak days". Well if Wolfpaw wanted to be that way, Sunstreak wasn't going to play his guessing game. Still she couldn't shake her anger and slight tinge of sadness. Brooding, she waited for orders on what to do.

Nightrain twisted around and looked down at the small voice that sounded.
"Oh! Wolfpaw!" He exclaimed. "Sure! Let's go hunting today! Where d'you want to go?" The tom took a moment to think of the possible places. "We could go to the lake!" Nightrain rolled onto the ground, making swimming motions. "Or we could hunt on land!" He shot up, pretending to stalk some sort of prey. "It's up to you!" He resumed a normal sitting position, but his paws still itched to move around in some strange way. The uncontrollable kit in him flourished today, well everyday actually. It was impossible for Nightrain to mature! He could easily recall the day he said "I will never never never grow old! When I'm an elder I will still not grow old! I will always be here and you'll all go 'When will that charming, lovable, and good looking tom die?'" Sometimes at night he would chuckle at the quote from himself. Well, such a charming, lovable, and good looking tom like himself couldn't get all old and complainy! Never!

The small tom took a step backwards as his mentor did several rather strange things. You'd think he'd be used to it by then, but Wolfpaw was used to calm, collected adults, not ones that went rolling about on the ground for no apparant reason. But as Nightrain rolled about, Wolfpaw froze... Had Sunstreak just laughed at the older tom? What did that mean? Surely she didn't like him... He felt like a rogue had just stuck it's claws into his heart.
Suddenly furious with his mentor, Wolfpaw growled, "Ground hunting, please." His teeth were mostly clamped shut and his eyes narrowed slightly at his mentor. "I'll meet you at the usual place," he said, turning and slipping from the camp without another word. The clan had an unofficial place for apprentices to meet their mentors for training. It was a large tree that had fallen uphill. The lower part of its trunk still stood vertical to the ground, but the rest of it created a sort of shelf covered in moss where the apprentices or mentors could sit and wait for eachother. Nearby was plenty of prey and even a few flatter spaces that made for good training spots.
Another tom mentor slipped out of his nest and out into the camp. It seemed all of TealClan was up and bustling! Turning his head, Flamescar saw his sister slip from camp just ahead of Wolfpaw. Worry picked at his heart. Poppytail hadn't been speaking much at all lately. She hadn't adjusted to their new home well at all. But Flamescar feared it was Falconclaw's theoried death that had taken the biggest toll on her. He had a feeling his sister had cared more for the tom than she'd ever admitted. He hadn't been seen since before they left the old forest.
Turning his mind away from his sister, Flamescar glanced about for his own apprentice, Whitepaw, he figured it would be an excellent day for swimming training with the young tom. All of the mentors had started using a treed-in area of the lake to train apprentices for swimming. [/blockquote]

Lostmoon's attention flickered over to Nightrain, a tom vastly different then himself, but it would be nice to have company while he trained Cloudpaw. He got up, brushed himself off and padded over to the tom, who had apparently, scared his apprentice away. Perhaps they should trade apparentices, yet between Nightrain and Cloudpaw, no one would get any sleep, and between him and Wolfpaw, he doubted a word would ever be said. He sat down by Nightrain, although far enough away as to avoid another potential "scene" and focused his brown and silver eyes on the tom. "Could me and Cloudpaw come with you as well?" he asked with his low tenor of a voice. "I think the apprentices would benefit by going together," he added, seeing that Flamescar had also arrived.
Sunstreak watched in disbelief as Wolfpaw stalked out of camp. True, Nightrain was probably a little scary and unpredictable, but Wolfpaw seemed so angry at him. Sunstreak found Nightrain's antics amusing and a relief to the seriousness of being a warrior and a mentor. Wolfpaw had been acting like a grumpy old badge every time she saw him and she had a mind to run after him. But she wasn't supposed to care...or at least she kept telling herself that. She flicked her ears in annoyance and waited for orders.

Nightrain was taken aback by Wolfpaw's anger. "Oh." He replied, at the sound of Lostmoon's voice he looked over at the tom, his mood completely changed. "Sure! Sure! The more the merrier, right? We'll have to find Cloudpaw though, we don't want to keep Wolfpaw waiting."
A small, fluffy tom strutted out of the apprentice's den. It was a tad late for him to be awaking, but it didn't matter, to him at least. He brought himself directly over to Lostmoon. "I know, I know, you missed me." He announced. "Don't fear, Cloudpaw is here. Anyway, where are we going? Hunting? Fishing? Swimming? Running? Jumping? Talking?" The apprentice continued with his list, not stopping until someone stopped him.
Sootwind quietly padded over to Sunstreak. "It's a nice day." He observed. "All though it almost seems like a waste for those who are apprentice-less." He smiled to himself mostly. "There will be more days like this but wasting even one seems...disappointing?" His smile grew wider as he silently mocked his word choice.

(Urgh, sorry it took so long for me to reply X.x' )
Aquapulse shook his head. "Nope. Nothing else, but thanks." He told Midnightfaith. He looked over with amusement at Nightrain. One of his more...entergetic warriors. He shrugged off his thoughts though, it was time for him to get back to business. Aquapulse strode over to Sunstreak and now, Sootwind.
"Sunstreak, Sootwind, I would like it if you two went on a patrol with me!" He said, in his usual excited voice. "Sooo....if thats alright with you, lets get going!" He added.

Lostmoon glanced over at his apprentice, his brown and silver eyes serious as he mewed, “Next time, be on time.” While he didn’t like being firm with Cloudpaw, a warrior couldn’t waltz in at any old time he pleased. “Not talking, although I’m not sure if that is possible. We will be going ground hunting with Nightrain and Wolfpaw. The prey pile needs to be filled and it will be an excellent time for you and Wolfpaw to show us how you can perform and to gain some respect from the clan if you do an exceptional job,” Lostmoon finished, getting up and brushing off his black coat with one paw. “Wolfpaw is waiting, so I suggest we go meet him. Hopefully he’s not mad anymore and is ready to focus,” he added, glancing sideways at Nightrain. He wasn’t sure what was wrong with Wolfpaw and hoped his mentor could sort it out. Lostmoon didn’t have the patience for that kind of thing.
Sunstreak’s ears twitched and she turned to the sound of Sootwind’s voice. She hadn’t ever spoken to him much, but now the two of them were warriors and most likely would be on lots of patrols and hunting parties together. She nodded and said, “You’re right, makes me wish I had my own enthusiastic apprentice to teach. But perhaps with the next litter of kits.” She smiled as Aquapulse approached. “Maybe not such a waste, I think we are going to get a job.”
Her attention turned to her leader and she nodded. “Of course, this day is too fine to be sitting around camp,” she responded, getting to her feet, her ginger coat shining in the sun like fire.

Everything was calm in Whitepaw's world. At least...it was supposed to be. The loud ruckus in the camp and the odd feeling of isolation had the young tom bothered a little, and his sleek black ears twitched back in agitation. He stood, and stretched, his bright emerald eyes lighting up at the sight of Flamescar.
Trotting over to his mentor, black tail high in the air, Whitepaw's voice was calm, yet excited, as he meowed, "Hi, Flamescar! What're we gonna do today?" His paws nearly shuffled about with anticipation, happy for some time to learn something new, or perfect skills he had already gleaned off of the warrior.
