Aquapulse looked around. This place was just one big forest...but soon TealClan would have to find a place within it to call their own. He started to think. Tomorrow, he and his deputy would have to find the best place to set up camp. But for right now, he figured most of the clan could do with a rest. He worried about fatigue. He looked around at all the TealClanners. Three warriors should go hunting and make a fresh kill pile. Meanwhile, he'd try to get Cindernose or Windpaw or better yet, maybe both of them to check on the clanners and make sure everyone was okay. So, with a bounce in his step, Aquapulse stepped forward. "Attention Tealclanners. " He shouted, to get attention. "We have traveled as far as we need to today." At that, he looked around. "Midnightfaith, I'd like you and Lostmoon and Blackluck to go hunting and bring back some fresh kill for our temporary fresh kill pile." He announced. "Meanwhile, Cindernose, Windpaw, I'd like you both, once you get the chance, to check on all the clanners and make sure everyone's okay." Aquapulse added. Blackluck looked up at Aquapulse and listened. Once he was done, she started looking around for Lostmoon and Midnightfaith...two cats she did not know well, despite the fact that one was the deputy of the clan.

Lostmoon was listening intently to Aquapulse, the newly established leader, and was thankful he was given something to do. Back at camp, there was nothing to do but think about Beepaw and try to avoid Morninglight. He didn’t need any false hopes. He drew himself up, brushed the dirt off his pelt with his tail and padded over to Blackluck. The large black warrior sat down, gave her a polite nod and looked around for Midnightfaith with his mis-matched eyes. He didn’t really know anyone in the clan, despite the number of moons spent here. Many would mistake his solitary ways for rudeness or arrogance, but Lostmoon didn’t really know how to interact in a group setting. Now in their new home, he wanted to change that, but wasn’t really sure where to start. Perhaps with this hunting patrol. At least hunting was something he could do well. Making friends was not.

A small, light gray tom stared at the TealClan leader until he finished speaking. He didn't even shrug when his name wasn't called. Sure he didn't get to be one of the first cats to take a peek at the new territory but he'd get his turn. He pointed his body in another direction, now facing the wide expanse of unfamiliar land. His paws itched with excitement and his eyes were set on fire with curiosity.
"Guess we have to sit out for a little bit, huh?" A deep voice boomed into Sootwind's silence behind him. He spun around, already knowing who it was.
"Yeah but we'll get our turn. Plus we get some time to just rest and relax. That's nice too." Sootwind replied cheerily.
"True, but your body says otherwise." Sootwind's tail had been flicking back and forth for quite a while now. He didn't bother to control it.
"It's a new territory, there's nothing wrong with a little excitement." Sootwind smiled to himself and Nightrain followed suit. Sootwind felt bad for the other tom. The journey certainly took a toll on him by seizing Moonfeather with death. He could see the small shimmer of sadness in his eyes. "And it was quite hard to get here..." The lighter warrior mumbled more to himself than anyone else. He sat up a little straighter, bouncing off of the somewhat melancholic subject. "Blackluck and her sisters are certainly turning into some fine warriors."
A grin tugged on the fringes of Nightrain's mouth. "They are, aren't they?" Somehow the conversation stopped there and each tom's eyes began to wander from the other cats gathered in the clearing to the new territory.

ooc: im bringing Sunpaw back here so she can do something ^ ^
A ginger female with reddish highlights wandered back into camp after her time with the kits, just as Aquapulse had made his announcement. Sunpaw listened until he was finished and then her chocolate brown eyes roved around camp after her name wasn't called. Her mentor was nowhere to be seen and she was eager to train. She knew it would be anytime now that she recieved her warrior name and became a full-member of TealClan. The thought sent a shiver of excitement down her spine and she couldn't keep the wide smile off her face. No longer an apprentice, but a real warrior. She wondered if her mother would have been proud of her accomplishment. Copper was no longer...Sunpaw had taken her place, and soon, a new name would erase the old.

Blackluck noticed the cat who sat down and nodded at her. "Your...Lostmoon...right?" She asked him. '...Uh, did I really just ask that? How is it I don't know anyone? I thought Hexspell was the antisocial one...' She thought quietly to herself. She looked around for Midnightfaith and waited.
Hexspell yawned and looked around the make-shift camp with a slightly annoyed expression. She could have done with being able to have something to do... Hexspell's lovely sister, Jinxcharm smiled at her. "Oh, Hexspell, you look oh so grumpy today! You should talk to some of the other cats and get to know your clanmates!" Jinxcharm giggled. Then she noticed Sunpaw entering camp. A apprentice she had never talked to before. Jinxcharm strolled over to Sunpaw...
"Hi! Your Sunpaw...right? My name is Jinxcharm, nice to meet you!" Jinxcharm introduced herself to Sunpaw, quite cheerily, while Hexspell stayed behind, not even paying attention.

He turned to her and nodded. "And you're Blackluck," he replied, not a question, but as a statement. Even if he didn't talk very much, he was always watching and listening and knew almost every cat by name, even if they didn't know him. Although..he should start to change that. "A hunt will be a relaxing break," he commented, trying to stir up a conversation, but hoping that she would pick up the ball.
Sunpaw was caught slightly off guard by Jinxcharm's friendly interest, but she decided it was with friendly intentions. "That's right," she mewed, studying her with her bright brown eyes. "It's nice to meet you as well," she added respectful, tipping her head a bit. Soon she hoped, she could talk to the warriors as equals. The ginger apprentice paused for a moment, before asking, "Do you like this place so far?"

Blackluck blinked. "I guess your right. At least I can finally streatch my legs...." She commented. She tilted her head to the side. "How good would you say you are of a hunter?" She wasn't trying to offend him or anything...she was just curious.
Jinxcharm thought for a momment. "I'm not sure yet. It's different...call me slow, but I havn't had enough time to decide weither I like this place or not." She said. "Oh, but...do you like this place so far?" She asked Sunpaw.

(Nya! Every time I try to post, I get interrupted, and then when I'm in the middle of writing a post, it disappears!!)
Midnightfaith padded up to Blackluck and Lostmoon, "Sorry. I was helping a kit get untangled from a big wad of brambles." A smile flickered over her muzzle, "Do either of you have any preference to where we hunt?"

Lostmoon shurgged. "I think I'm a good hunter, better at night though, it's easier to blend in," he answered. Glancing over at her, he almost smiled. "But I suppose you have the same problem as me," he added. His eyes shifted to Midnightfaith, his mismatched eyes studying her inquisitively. He hadn't seen much of the new deputy in action and was interested to find out. They needed strong leadership if they were to survive here. "It doesn't matter to me where we hunt," he mewed, looking over the terrain around them. "We could just scent to see where the most prey is," he added. Lostmoon was never one to exert desicions, so he waited to hear the other opinions.
Sunpaw's brown eyes were thoughtful at Jinxcharm's question. "Well I will always miss our old home, its where I grew up. But it was the cats who made it feel like a home and they are mostly all here. So I suppose I can get used to somewhere where my friends are."

Blackluck nodded. "Indeed, I do have the same problem." She nodded. She looked over at Midnightfaith and dipped her head in respect. "I um...don't know this place very well so...I could really care less where we hunt." She said.
"Yeah, same for me a guess. Or at least, it's looking like I could get used to this place." Jinxcharm agreed.

(Did anyone else notice that Midnightfaith, Lostmoon, and Blackluck are all black cats?)
Midnightfaith nodded. "Alright then. We'll just have to see what we can find. Why don't we head that way?" She flicked her tail toward the right side of the camp. "I think I smelled a mouse over that way earlier."

ooc: yea that's awesome, TealClan has alot, but mostly cuz of Diamond XD
Lostmoon nodded towards his deputy and raised his head, taking the opportunity of the clear air untainted by anything foreign and sniffed for prey. Sure enough, the air was vibrant with the smells of the forest, and among them, a good amount of prey scents. Slinking through the undergrowth, he heared the tale-tell signs of tiny footsteps and located their source to be from a young mouse. Quickly killing it, he buried it, and walked back to the she-cats.
"I found one over there and the prey is all over today," he remarked. "We should have no trouble." Normally he didn't speak this many words in a day let alone a few minutes, but he was trying to make an effort to fit in...if he could.
Sunpaw smiled. "I'm sure we can do it," she mewed, glancing around camp and looking for the other apprentices. "I'll be a warrior soon," she purred. "Then I can really explore around here."

(Guilty as charged X3 )
Blackluck tried sniffing the air right. Sure enough, Lostmoon was right. Plenty of prey, everywhere! She stalked over towards the right of the camp. She heard something rustle a little in the grass. A mouse. A rather clumsy mouse. She attempted to sneak up on it and... Snap! In Blackluck's jaws was a dead mouse. She buried it for later and trotted proudly back over to Midnightfaith and Lostmoon. "Do you think this place has any rabbits?" She asked them.
"Thats the spirit!" Jinxcharm purred. "So then, a warrior soon? Wow, what do you think your gonna do first when you become one?" She asked Sunpaw.

Midnightfaith smiled as Blackluck padded back to where she and Lostmoon stood. "I think there are. I could have sworn I saw one when I was out on a patrol yesterday..." She shrugged, and turned. Her ears pricked when she heard a faint rustling in the grass. A scent reached her nostrils. Vole. As silently as she could, she crept toward the sound, her paws making little noise as they trailed over the grass. Finally, she caught sight of the little creature, chewing one something by a large tree root. When she was close enough, she sprang, landing soundly with her paws on the vole. It tried to wiggle out, and nearly did before she sunk her teeth into it. After making sure that it was dead, she padded back to her hunting companions, the vole hanging from her jaws.

Lostmoon cracked a smile for the first time in years. With all this prey, things were starting to look up for TealClan finally. Feeling a little lighter, he went off to find some more prey. Inside, he felt slightly guilty for feeling happy. Did he deserve to be happy? Perhaps not, but spending his life alone in isolation sent a shiver down his spine. He would go barking mad and sometimes he feared that would be his fate if he didn't open up. Catching a thrush, he brought it back and added it to the growing pile. "Whatever there is here, there is alot of it. I havn't scented this much prey in weeks."
Sunpaw smiled at the thought. "Explore the territory. I don't get a chance to by myself as an apprentice and Eveningrain has other things to do," she added. "But don't get me wrong," she said quickly. "He's been a great mentor. I couldn't ask for better," she purred at the thought of her mentor.
